About the Role
Microsoft is seeking a Program Manager to lead the Global Security Access Management (GSAM) program. You will own the worldwide strategy and governance framework for physical access management, helping ensure secure, compliant, and reliable access to facilities, assets, and critical environments for employees, contractors, vendors, and partners.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive end-to-end strategy for enterprise access management across a global footprint.
- Establish governance, policy adherence, and entitlement/provisioning standards to support audit readiness.
- Define and refine the operational delivery model for access governance and service performance.
- Balance life-safety requirements, business enablement, regulatory compliance, and security risk mitigation.
- Partner cross-functionally with Global Security Operations and Security Engineering to align programs, controls, and delivery.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to strengthen access governance, operational consistency, and compliance outcomes.
Requirements
- Proven experience leading complex programs with security, compliance, and governance responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of physical access management concepts (e.g., entitlements, provisioning, audit readiness).
- Ability to manage stakeholders across regions and organizations while maintaining clear operational standards.
- Demonstrated experience translating requirements into scalable processes and measurable service performance.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence policy, risk, and operational decisions.
