About the Role
Turner Construction is seeking a Project Safety Professional to support safe, high-quality outcomes across commercial construction projects. This role is based in the West Des Moines area and helps ensure jobsite safety expectations are understood, followed, and continuously improved.
Responsibilities
- Support project teams in implementing and maintaining jobsite safety programs
- Conduct field observations and assist with corrective actions to address hazards
- Help coordinate safety training and promote safe work practices across trades
- Monitor compliance with applicable safety standards, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with superintendents and project leadership to track safety performance
Requirements
- Experience supporting construction safety on active job sites
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and related safety requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, physically active field environment
- Commitment to continuous improvement and proactive risk identification
