About the Role
Join our Quality team with a “Right the First Time” mindset. As a Quality Engineer, you’ll help surface hidden issues and trends early, driving continuous improvement across examination, inspection, and testing activities.
Responsibilities
- Review and approve objective evidence for examination, inspection, and test results to confirm conformance with applicable requirements.
- Verify compliance to Code, Energy Steel requirements, and customer purchase order specifications.
- Compile Energy Steel certification documentation and release material for further processing or shipment based on required approvals.
- Support the Quick Response Team (QRT) or serve as a Specialist, depending on assignment needs.
- Collaborate with QA Department personnel to stop shipments and/or designate material as nonconforming when required.
- Make determinations and support implementation of corrective actions to address quality concerns.
Requirements
- Strong organization and exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to evaluate objective quality evidence and ensure it meets code and customer requirements.
- Experience working with inspection, test, and examination documentation in a quality-focused environment.
- Clear understanding of quality compliance expectations and the importance of traceability in certification records.
