About the Role
Canopy Aerospace & Defense is seeking an outstanding engineering student for an R&D Engineering Intern position for Fall 2026. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers to help develop and test next-generation materials and hardware systems built to perform in extreme environments.
Responsibilities
- Support R&D efforts focused on advanced materials and engineered components for space, defense, and maritime applications
- Assist with development and testing activities for hardware designed for harsh conditions
- Contribute to experiments, data collection, and documentation to support engineering decisions
- Work closely with engineers and team members to iterate on concepts and prototypes
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering program (or closely related field)
- Strong interest in research, experimentation, and engineering development
- Basic understanding of engineering fundamentals and laboratory/test workflows
- Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a team environment
