About the Role
We are seeking a state-certified Alternative High School Special Education Teacher to deliver specialized instruction in a fully online learning environment. You will support students’ academic progress and independence by aligning instruction to each learner’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction, support, and guidance tailored to students’ individual needs as outlined in their IEPs
- Manage the online learning process to keep students engaged and progressing
- Work actively with students and families to support learning goals
- Maintain required compliance documentation related to special education services
- Deliver course content in a remote setting while ensuring accessibility and appropriate supports
Requirements
- Special Education teaching certification (state-certified)
- Residency/eligibility requirements for Indiana (as applicable)
- If certification is from another state, obtain Indiana reciprocity within 60 days of employment
- Ability to teach effectively in an online environment and support diverse learning needs
Compensation and Start Date
- Salary range: $48,000–$52,000 annually
- Performance bonus eligibility
- Start date: School Year 2026/2027
