About the Role
Sur La Table is hiring a Seasonal Chef Instructor, Pastry to serve as our in-store expert for baking and pastry arts. You’ll bring pastry knowledge to life for customers through hands-on guidance, product education, and enthusiastic demonstrations that help people feel confident in their own kitchens.
Responsibilities
- Provide in-store expertise and deliver exceptional “#bestincenter” service
- Teach pastry techniques and baking fundamentals through demonstrations and customer interaction
- Share product knowledge to help customers choose the right tools and ingredients
- Support an engaging, welcoming store experience centered on cooking and learning
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of baking and pastry fundamentals
- Comfort teaching and explaining techniques clearly to a wide range of customers
- Passion for cooking, sharing, and creating a positive in-store experience
- Ability to perform in a retail/store environment during seasonal needs
