About the Role
The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Finance team. This temporary position is scheduled for 9 months and will be based in our Seattle office, with on-site expectations varying by team and role.
In this role, you’ll manage key accounting responsibilities across multiple entities, partnering with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and timely month-end close.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities, including general ledger reconciliation
- Support grant accounting and related compliance reporting
- Prepare and review financial information to support accurate, GAAP-aligned reporting
- Communicate status updates and surface risks early when deadlines or issues arise
- Work effectively with limited day-to-day direction while managing multiple priorities
Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage competing deadlines without compromising quality
- Comfort collaborating across teams and communicating clearly
- Experience with general ledger reconciliation and month-end processes
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $89,500 - $134,000 (annual)
- Temporary employment for 9 months
