About the Role
The Allen Institute for AI (Ai2) is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our Finance team. This temporary position is scheduled for 9 months and will be based in our Seattle office, with on-site expectations varying by role and team. You will oversee a wide range of accounting activities across multiple entities, helping ensure accurate reporting and timely month-end close.
Responsibilities
- Lead month-end close activities and perform general ledger reconciliations
- Support grant accounting and related compliance reporting
- Maintain strong GAAP practices and ensure reporting accuracy
- Communicate clearly with internal partners and escalate issues early
- Manage multiple deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger processes
- Comfort working with limited day-to-day direction
- Ability to prioritize effectively and meet competing deadlines
- Clear communication skills across teams
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary range: $89,500 - $134,000 (annual)
- Additional benefits may be available based on position and eligibility
