About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior Application Security Engineer to help ensure our application services are built and implemented with strong security standards. You’ll evaluate application security in context—considering connected dependencies such as middle-tier systems and databases—while helping reduce the risk of exploitable design flaws.
Responsibilities
- Validate that applications and services follow secure design and implementation practices
- Analyze application security alongside underlying components and dependencies (e.g., services, middleware, databases)
- Identify and remediate legacy and emerging security issues
- Implement repeatable secure development practices to prevent common program design weaknesses
- Communicate findings and risks to technical teams and leadership to drive effective risk mitigation
- Continuously assess applications for vulnerabilities and coordinate resolutions before issues can be exploited
Requirements
- Experience performing application security assessments and vulnerability analysis
- Strong understanding of secure software development and common security design flaws
- Ability to evaluate security across system boundaries, including dependencies and data stores
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to remediate issues and improve security posture
- Clear communication skills for explaining risk, impact, and mitigation plans
