About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next generation of rugged electric vehicles, and we’re looking for a Senior Brake System Development Engineer to help bring our brake systems to life. You’ll contribute to the design and development of braking solutions that support both all-electric and range-extended powertrains.
Responsibilities
- Own and advance brake system development activities from concept through validation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, interfaces, and system-level targets
- Support design reviews, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis during testing and integration
- Develop and refine verification plans, test procedures, and performance validation criteria
- Document engineering decisions and communicate progress to stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience in automotive brake system engineering and development
- Strong understanding of brake system components, performance metrics, and validation methods
- Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Experience with test, data analysis, and engineering documentation
