About the Role
MacKay is expanding and looking for a motivated Project Manager / Senior Civil Engineer to join our Transportation – Roads and Streets team in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you’ll help move transportation projects from early concept through bid-ready documentation and construction review.
Responsibilities
- Lead transportation project design efforts from concept development through bid documents
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and cross-disciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions
- Support construction reviews to help ensure projects are built in line with design intent
- Manage project execution activities, timelines, and deliverables for transportation roadway and streets projects
- Contribute to producing clear, high-quality technical work products for stakeholders
Requirements
- Experience as a civil engineer on transportation/roadway and streets projects
- Demonstrated ability to lead design work and collaborate with multi-discipline teams
- Strong project management skills and comfort coordinating across internal and external stakeholders
- Knowledge of producing bid documents and participating in construction review processes
