About the Role
RTX is seeking a Principal Command & Telemetry Software Modernization Engineer to help modernize mission-critical software capabilities. This onsite role supports defense and aerospace programs where reliability, security, and technical excellence are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead modernization efforts for command and telemetry software components across the lifecycle
- Design and evolve software architectures to improve performance, maintainability, and interoperability
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate capabilities into operational environments
- Support secure development practices and ensure solutions align with program and compliance requirements
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (required prior to start)
- U.S. citizenship required (eligibility for security clearance)
- Experience modernizing complex, mission-critical software systems
- Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to lead technical direction
