About the Role
Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Designer to support complex industrial and infrastructure projects in Charlotte, North Carolina. In this role, you’ll be a designated drawing and model checker, helping ensure designs are accurate, coordinated, and ready for downstream use.
Responsibilities
- Perform drawing and 3D model checking as the primary reviewer for assigned packages
- Verify design compliance using QA/QC and established standards
- Support design verification activities to reduce rework and maintain technical accuracy
- Collaborate with design teams to resolve discrepancies and improve coordination
- Maintain clear documentation of review outcomes and issue resolution
Requirements
- Experience as a civil/structural designer with strong drawing and model checking skills
- Working knowledge of QA/QC and design verification processes
- Ability to review technical documentation for correctness, completeness, and constructability
- Clear communication skills for coordinating with cross-functional project teams
