About the Role
Airswift is seeking an experienced Estimator to support a leading industrial construction and oil & gas organization. In this role, you will develop accurate cost estimates and competitive proposals for maintenance, shutdown/turnaround (TAR), fabrication, installation, and brownfield projects.
Responsibilities
- Review tender documents, technical specifications, and engineering drawings to build clear bid assumptions
- Prepare detailed estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor scopes
- Complete quantity take-offs for piping, structural, mechanical, and civil work packages
- Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and client clarification sessions as needed
- Request, evaluate, and incorporate vendor and subcontractor quotations into bid pricing
- Assist with project scheduling, resource planning, and execution strategy inputs
- Participate in bid reviews, risk assessments, and proposal development to strengthen commercial outcomes
- Maintain estimating databases, historical cost data, and benchmarking tools to improve accuracy
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of estimating experience for EPC projects or industrial construction in oil & gas or plant maintenance environments
- Experience with TAR/shutdowns, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and/or brownfield projects
- Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical documentation
- Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards such as ASME, API, and ANSI
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software/tools
- Experience with MS Project and/or Primavera is preferred
