About the Role
Oscar is hiring a Senior Identity and Access Management (IAM) Engineer to join our Security team. In this role, you’ll help shape how identity and access are managed across Oscar’s internal applications and enterprise platforms, strengthening protection for workforce, internal systems, and customer identity experiences.
Responsibilities
- Build and mature identity and access management disciplines across internally developed applications and standard identity platforms such as Okta and Google Workspace Identity
- Design least-privilege access models and scalable identity architectures for AWS-hosted systems and the BigQuery data lake
- Develop identity threat detection and response capabilities to protect identity surfaces
- Partner with security leadership and cross-functional teams to align identity controls with platform security goals
- Report to the Associate Director, Platform Security
Requirements
- Experience designing IAM solutions and access control models for enterprise environments
- Hands-on knowledge of identity platforms (e.g., Okta, Google Workspace Identity)
- Familiarity with cloud security and AWS-hosted systems
- Experience working with data platforms such as BigQuery
- Strong understanding of identity threats, detection, and incident response practices
