About the Role
Scout Motors is seeking a Senior Logistics JIT/JIS Process Engineer to help design and improve logistics processes that support efficient, reliable production. You’ll play a key role in driving continuous improvement across just-in-time (JIT) and just-in-sequence (JIS) workflows, ensuring materials and components arrive when needed—at the right place and in the right sequence.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current JIT/JIS logistics processes and identify opportunities to reduce waste, delays, and variability.
- Develop and standardize process flows, work instructions, and performance metrics for inbound logistics.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support production readiness, sequencing requirements, and material availability.
- Support root-cause investigations and corrective/preventive actions for logistics performance gaps.
- Continuously monitor KPIs (e.g., delivery performance, line-side availability, schedule adherence) and drive improvements.
- Contribute to planning and implementation of logistics process changes, including validation and rollout.
Requirements
- Experience with JIT and/or JIS logistics concepts and process improvement in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to perform root-cause analysis.
- Proficiency with process documentation and improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean or similar approaches).
- Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
