About the Role
Babylist’s finance and accounting teams rely on NetSuite, and as our business grows, we need stronger functional leadership to keep the platform aligned with real operational needs. In this Senior NetSuite Functional Lead role, you’ll serve as the deep functional expert for NetSuite’s financial modules—partnering with Accounting and Finance to turn business requirements into practical NetSuite solutions.
You’ll work within a focused NetSuite pod inside our Financial Systems team. The pod covers the full lifecycle of NetSuite improvements: you lead the functional “what and why,” while our Developer and Administrator handle the technical build and day-to-day system operations.
Responsibilities
- Translate accounting, finance, and operational needs into clear functional requirements for NetSuite
- Lead discovery and solution design for NetSuite financial modules, ensuring alignment to business processes
- Partner with the NetSuite Developer to define what should be configured natively vs. built with customizations
- Collaborate with the NetSuite Administrator to support system health, changes, and ongoing operations
- Own functional documentation and communicate impacts of changes to stakeholders
- Support testing and validation to ensure solutions meet business and reporting requirements
Requirements
- Strong functional experience with NetSuite financial modules (e.g., accounting and reporting workflows)
- Proven ability to gather requirements and translate them into actionable NetSuite solutions
- Experience partnering with technical teams (developers/admins) to deliver end-to-end improvements
- Strong understanding of finance and accounting processes and how they map to ERP systems
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills across finance and operational teams
Benefits
- Opportunity to help scale critical financial systems as the business grows
- Collaborative, small team environment within Financial Systems
- Direct impact on day-to-day accounting and finance operations through functional ownership
