About the Role
Field AI is building risk-aware, reliable AI systems that help robots understand and operate in the real world. On our Hardware Team, you’ll design and deliver sensor modules that turn our robots into dependable data-collection platforms for customers.
Responsibilities
- Select and evaluate sensors for specific robotic data-collection needs
- Own calibration and electro-mechanical integration of sensor payloads
- Build and execute validation plans to confirm performance in real-world conditions
- Develop and improve data pipelines that move sensor output from capture through processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure payloads meet product and customer requirements
Requirements
- Experience integrating sensors into robotic or embedded hardware systems
- Strong understanding of calibration, validation, and measurement-driven engineering
- Hands-on electro-mechanical integration experience
- Familiarity with data pipeline development for sensor/robot telemetry and processing workflows
- Ability to troubleshoot issues from prototype through field deployment
Benefits
- Work on robotics hardware that ships globally and improves through real-field feedback
- Join a team focused on reliability, safety, and practical deployment
- Opportunity to shape sensor payload strategy end-to-end, from selection to data delivery
