About the Role
Join our basic science research laboratory as a Senior Research Assistant. In this role, you’ll work with limited supervision to support experiments, operate lab equipment, and help generate reliable research data for clinical and diagnostic studies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with or independently conduct scientific experiments and research projects of high complexity
- Collect, evaluate, and interpret research data to support study objectives
- Support investigators or senior technicians with research studies, experiments, and assays, including data collection and preparation of solutions
- Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment to ensure consistent performance
- Run database queries to retrieve historical data and organize results into spreadsheets for research use
- Help supervise and support other Research Assistants by maintaining an orderly, efficient research environment
Requirements
- Experience working in a basic science laboratory environment
- Proficiency operating laboratory equipment and performing experimental procedures
- Ability to collect, summarize, and interpret research data with attention to detail
- Comfort working with databases and organizing data in spreadsheets
- Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate effectively with research team members
