About the Role
Join the Azure Storage NPI SKU Qualification & Performance team to help validate and qualify next-generation Azure Storage hardware and platform technologies. You’ll support the reliability and performance of storage infrastructure that powers critical workloads globally—scaling from exabytes today toward zettabytes in the future.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate reliable systems that support Azure Storage qualification and performance validation.
- Partner with engineering teams to diagnose issues, improve system stability, and reduce operational risk.
- Develop and maintain automation for testing, monitoring, and incident response workflows.
- Analyze performance and reliability data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvements.
- Contribute to tooling and processes that enhance observability, reliability, and service quality.
Requirements
- Experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar reliability/operations role.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring/alerting and troubleshooting production systems.
- Proficiency with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or similar).
- Experience working with storage, networking, or performance testing concepts is a plus.
