About the Role
Soutron Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help advance a mature, cloud-hosted SaaS platform for library and archive management. You’ll be a key technical contributor on a product used by public and K-12 school organizations, supporting teams that curate, discover, and unlock the value of critical knowledge assets.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain backend services for a modern SaaS application
- Collaborate with product and engineering teammates to deliver improvements and new features
- Contribute to platform modernization and ongoing scalability efforts
- Write clean, maintainable code and support reliable deployments in a cloud environment
- Troubleshoot issues and improve system performance and stability
Requirements
- Strong experience with Perl and backend software development
- Proven ability to work on and evolve production systems
- Comfort operating in a cloud-hosted SaaS environment
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship features
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality
