About the Role
Roku is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale our Subscriptions Platform—an important growth area for Roku’s TV streaming business. You’ll contribute to systems that connect consumers, content publishers, and advertisers across the Roku ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services that power subscriptions and related experiences
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering partners to deliver reliable platform improvements
- Write clean, testable code and participate in code reviews to uphold engineering quality
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues, driving continuous reliability and performance enhancements
Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building production systems
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language commonly used for backend development
- Experience with APIs, distributed systems, and data-driven application design
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and partnering across teams
