About the Role
Scout Motors is looking for a Sheet Metal Engineer Specialist to help design and develop pickup box components. You’ll play a key role in turning engineering requirements into build-ready sheet metal solutions that support reliable, high-quality vehicle production.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize sheet metal designs for pickup box applications, from concept through release.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, fit, and finish targets are met.
- Support prototype builds and coordinate engineering changes based on feedback and test results.
- Create and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design rationale.
- Work with manufacturing and suppliers to address tooling, forming, and production readiness needs.
Requirements
- Experience designing sheet metal components for automotive or similar manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as stamping, forming, and fabrication.
- Proficiency with CAD and engineering documentation practices.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate requirements into durable, producible designs.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills across engineering and production teams.
