About the Role
Defense Unicorns is seeking Mission Manager SkillBridge interns to support mission-driven defense technology efforts. This internship is remote and provides hands-on experience working alongside experienced Tech Leads, Mission Managers, and Growth professionals.
Because this position is tied to U.S. government contracting, U.S. citizenship is required. Eligible Department of Defense service members must be within 180 days of separating from service. SkillBridge hiring may occur on a rolling basis based on the needs of a fast-paced startup.
Responsibilities
- Assist Mission Managers with day-to-day mission planning and coordination
- Support execution of defense tech initiatives alongside internal technical and growth teams
- Collaborate with mentors to track progress, surface risks, and help drive solutions
- Learn and apply operational processes that support mission outcomes
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship required
- For eligible DoD service members: must be within 180 days of separating from service
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn how mission work is executed
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a remote team environment
