About the Role
Sparklight/Cable ONE is looking for a hands-on Software Development Manager to lead a cross-functional team delivering the digital products and platforms customers use every day. You’ll provide first-line people leadership while partnering across engineering and QA to drive consistent delivery and quality.
This role may be eligible for remote work for qualified candidates located in the following states: AL, AR, AZ, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, OR, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a blended team of software/web engineers, QA engineers, and front-end developers
- Guide delivery through the full lifecycle, from planning and development to testing and release
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure digital products meet customer needs and performance expectations
- Support engineering best practices, quality standards, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize work and remove delivery blockers
Requirements
- Proven experience leading software development teams with hands-on involvement
- Strong understanding of software delivery processes and quality practices
- Experience collaborating with QA and front-end engineering partners
- Ability to communicate clearly and support an inclusive, high-performing team culture
