About the Role
Redwood Materials is building a high-throughput, ML-enabled battery sorting platform. Our Battery Sorting team uses computer vision and machine learning to classify and route thousands of end-of-life batteries per hour across a wide range of chemistries and form factors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and improve software for ML and computer vision workflows used in battery sorting
- Build reliable data pipelines to support model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate models into production systems
- Monitor performance and iterate on system accuracy, latency, and robustness
Requirements
- Experience building production software with machine learning and/or computer vision
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python) and familiarity with ML tooling
- Ability to work with real-world data and handle engineering tradeoffs
- Experience collaborating in a fast-moving, product-focused environment
