About the Role
Scout Motors is building the next chapter of an iconic American brand—combining electrification, digitization, and American innovation. We’re looking for a Software Update & Validation Specialist to help ensure our vehicle software updates are delivered reliably, safely, and with high quality.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and document software update validation activities across relevant vehicle software components
- Verify update behavior, versioning, and compatibility to support consistent customer experiences
- Support issue triage by reproducing defects and working with engineering teams to drive resolution
- Maintain test evidence and validation artifacts to support release readiness
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve update processes and validation coverage
Requirements
- Experience validating embedded or automotive software updates
- Strong understanding of software release/testing concepts (e.g., test plans, traceability, defect reporting)
- Ability to work with logs, build/version information, and troubleshooting workflows
- Excellent attention to detail and clear documentation skills
