About the Role
Life.Church is seeking a Staff Attorney to support its Product and digital ministry teams. You will provide practical legal guidance across intellectual property, data privacy, product compliance, and licensing so our online ministries can grow responsibly and at pace.
Responsibilities
- Advise on intellectual property strategy, including risk identification and mitigation for digital products
- Support content licensing agreements and related negotiations
- Provide guidance on data privacy and product compliance requirements
- Review and structure licensing terms to align with business and mission goals
- Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, and leadership to address legal issues early
- Collaborate with the CTL to cast vision, provide direction, and lead ministry-focused legal efforts
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) and active bar membership in good standing
- Experience advising on intellectual property and/or licensing matters
- Working knowledge of data privacy and compliance concepts
- Strong ability to translate legal considerations into clear, actionable guidance for product teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, globally scaled digital environment
