About the Role
Databricks is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to help advance our data and AI infrastructure. In this role, you’ll work on technical challenges that improve how data teams build, run, and scale mission-critical workloads.
Responsibilities
- Develop and apply advanced data science methods to infrastructure and platform problems
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to turn technical hypotheses into measurable outcomes
- Contribute to scalable, resilient, and secure solutions for customers using Databricks
- Help evaluate system performance and drive improvements through data-driven experimentation
Requirements
- Strong background in data science and statistical/ML methods
- Experience working with large-scale data systems and production environments
- Ability to partner across teams and communicate insights clearly
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills in complex, high-impact technical domains
