Staff Manufacturing Engineer (Onsite) - Mason, OH

About the Role

AtriCure is seeking a Staff Manufacturing Engineer to help advance the production of innovative medical technologies used in the treatment of atrial fibrillation (Afib). In this onsite role in Mason, Ohio, you will partner with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing performance, support quality goals, and strengthen process reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing engineering activities to improve product quality, throughput, and operational efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing processes, work instructions, and process documentation.
  • Support troubleshooting of production issues and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Collaborate with Quality, Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain to ensure processes meet regulatory and internal requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving and data-driven decision-making.
  • Assist with manufacturing scale-up, transfer activities, and sustaining engineering for production systems.
  • Contribute to risk management activities related to manufacturing and process changes.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience supporting production environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing expectations and quality systems (e.g., CAPA, documentation control).
  • Proficiency with process documentation and continuous improvement methods.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
