About the Role
As a Staff Software Engineer in our Low Voltage Infrastructure organization, you will lead the design, architecture, implementation, and deployment of Activation Power management software. You’ll partner with teams across GM Tools, BSW vendors, controller application groups, HWIO, and cybersecurity to deliver an efficient, compliant solution aligned to SDV2.0 requirements.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end technical delivery for Activation Power management software within the power management domain.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders across EPSI and align architecture across multiple initiatives.
- Define optimal software architecture to meet technical and business objectives.
- Develop tactical plans and roadmaps for execution teams to ensure on-time delivery with first-time quality.
- Review existing software and identify opportunities to improve quality, maintainability, reusability, and overall engineering effectiveness.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure integration, compliance, and successful deployment of software components.
Requirements
- Experience leading software architecture and implementation for complex systems.
- Strong understanding of power management software concepts and embedded/low-voltage environments.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional partners and drive technical alignment.
- Experience delivering software to program milestones with a quality-first mindset.
- Proficiency in designing for maintainability, reusability, and long-term support.
