About the Role
Varda is building commercial space infrastructure for life-changing products made in orbit. We’re seeking a Supply Chain Engineer to support sourcing, procurement, and supplier readiness for avionics and electro-mechanical systems used across our spacecraft and payload programs.
Responsibilities
- Own supply chain planning for avionics and electro-mechanical components, from requirements definition through delivery.
- Partner with engineering and program teams to translate design needs into procurement strategies and sourcing plans.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure lead times, quality expectations, and delivery schedules are met.
- Support supplier onboarding activities, including technical alignment and documentation readiness.
- Track risks and drive mitigation plans for shortages, obsolescence, and schedule impacts.
- Analyze purchasing and supplier performance data to improve reliability and cost outcomes.
Requirements
- Experience in supply chain engineering, procurement, or supplier management for technical hardware (avionics and/or electro-mechanical preferred).
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or aerospace supply chain processes, including lead times and quality requirements.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and program stakeholders.
- Comfort working with technical documentation and communicating clearly with suppliers.
