About the Role
Mitre Media is looking for a Full-Stack Rails Tech Lead to build LLM-powered web applications on a microservices-based Rails 8 platform. Reporting to the CTO, you’ll work with a small, high-impact team to deliver fast, engaging experiences across Dividend.com, MutualFunds.com, and other portfolio brands.
This is a remote-first hybrid role (in-person collaboration expected within ±3 hours of Eastern Time). We use ShapeUp to manage work with a focus on outcomes and rapid delivery.
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain Rails 8 applications
- Integrate LLM capabilities into a microservices architecture, including state management and real-time user interactions
- Improve front-end experiences using Hotwire/StimulusJS or React
- Optimize LLM inference for low latency and cost using caching and asynchronous processing
Requirements
- Expert-level Ruby experience (5+ years)
- Strong Ruby on Rails experience (Rails 6–8 preferred)
- Experience with PostgreSQL (or MySQL)
- Comfort integrating AI/LLM functionality into production workflows
