About the Role
Sika is seeking a Technical Specification Manager to lead specification development and technical advocacy for our Building, Parking, and Expansion Joint Systems business unit. In this role, you’ll help drive demand by partnering with architects, engineers, contractors, and specifiers—supporting successful project outcomes and contributing to national sales growth. The ideal candidate can live anywhere in Florida, with proximity to a major airport required.
Responsibilities
- Meet business unit targets by proactively engaging specifiers, architects, engineers, and contractors through Lunch & Learns, specification creation and reviews, customer training, product demonstrations, and promotions
- Develop and secure project specifications so Sika solutions are approved, specified, and listed before project execution
- Provide technical support and education to influence specification decisions across key project teams
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to build momentum for additional business and long-term specification wins
Requirements
- Proven experience in specification sales, technical sales, or a closely related role supporting engineered building products
- Strong ability to communicate technical information to architects, engineers, and contractors
- Comfort working in a field-based role with travel as needed from a major airport in Florida
- Demonstrated success influencing specifications, approvals, or listings for projects
