Technical Writer (Space Systems) - U.S. Citizen Required - Onsite in Austin, TX

About the Role

CesiumAstro builds advanced communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We’re looking for a Technical Writer to help translate complex technical work into clear, accurate documentation that teams can use and customers can trust.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documents, including user guides, system documentation, and internal engineering documentation
• Work with engineers and product teams to gather requirements and clarify technical details
• Organize content for readability, accuracy, and consistency across releases
• Review documentation for completeness and alignment with product and engineering changes
• Support documentation updates as systems evolve across the organization

Requirements

• Ability to meet U.S. Government Space Technology Export Regulations eligibility requirements (e.g., U.S. citizen or eligible to obtain required authorizations)
• Strong technical writing skills with a focus on clarity and precision
• Experience collaborating with engineering or technical stakeholders to produce documentation
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, cross-functional environment
