About the Role
We are seeking a Temporary School Nurse to join the War Education Activity Americas, Southeast District at Scott Middle School in Fort Knox, Kentucky. This role is Not To Exceed 1 year and may end earlier based on student enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom instruction and one-on-one health education and counseling for students
- Deliver emergency first aid and care for illness or injuries that occur during school hours
- Maintain accurate health records and required documentation
- Collaborate with teachers and school personnel to interpret and support students’ health needs
- Support the development, management, and evaluation of a comprehensive school health program
Requirements
- Ability to provide first aid and emergency care in accordance with standard guidelines
- Strong attention to detail for maintaining and documenting student health information
- Experience or comfort working in a school setting with students and staff
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
