- Oversee the development and maintenance of science-based, peer-reviewed methodologies and related technical guidance.
- Ensure robust governance for independent third-party verification of emission reductions and carbon removals.
- Strengthen processes that support serialized offset credit issuance, tracking, and retirement on public registry systems.
- Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders across environmental markets, including partners and technical experts.
- Provide executive-level oversight of program execution, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Proven executive leadership experience in climate, environmental markets, sustainability assurance, or related technical fields.
- Strong understanding of carbon accounting, verification/assurance concepts, and environmental integrity frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical work into clear standards, policies, and stakeholder-facing outputs.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and external partners, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Commitment to transparency, scientific rigor, and high-integrity program delivery.
Benefits
- Opportunity to contribute to mission-driven climate impact through high-integrity environmental markets.
- Flexible work arrangement with Arlington, VA office or US remote options.
- Collaborate with leadership and technical experts within Winrock International’s ecosystem.
