About the Role
Join AoPS Academy’s Virtual Campus as a part-time Language Arts Instructor. This after-school and weekend enrichment role is designed for students who are motivated, high-achieving, and eager to learn. Most Year-Round classes run late afternoons to evenings Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Teach reading, writing, and grammar in a virtual classroom setting
- Lead engaging lessons that encourage student-led discussion and inquiry
- Create a learning environment that builds critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Provide thoughtful, thorough feedback on writing assignments
- Motivate gifted learners and support their progress throughout the course
Requirements
- Strong content knowledge in reading, writing, and grammar
- Excellent writing skills and the ability to give high-quality feedback
- Experience or confidence facilitating student-led instruction and discussions
- Comfort teaching in a virtual format and maintaining an interactive classroom culture
