About the Role
We are seeking adjunct instructors to teach English courses for the Fall 2025 semester. Instruction will be delivered at our Quad Cities Campus in Moline, IL and our East Campus in Galva, IL, with sections assigned based on departmental needs.
Responsibilities
- Prepare course syllabi and instructional plans aligned with assigned English courses
- Develop and deliver lectures, discussions, and learning activities that support student success
- Create and apply appropriate methods to evaluate student performance
- Develop, secure, and maintain required classroom equipment and instructional materials
- Encourage an engaging learning environment throughout the term
Requirements
- Experience teaching English courses (or relevant academic instruction)
- Ability to prepare syllabi, deliver instruction, and assess student learning effectively
- Comfort using classroom resources and maintaining instructional materials as needed
