About the Role
We are seeking a Director of Workforce Development to lead the Workforce Development Division and help advance departmental and college goals. This role oversees workforce programs, strengthens partnerships with employers and agencies, and drives enrollment and training outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and day-to-day management to division staff to meet departmental and organizational objectives
- Plan, recruit, market, promote, administer, and manage workforce classes and business solutions, including Career Skills, Training for Business & Industry, Ready to Work, and Continuing Education
- Serve as a liaison to employers, industry partners, state agencies, government entities, economic development groups, and associations to address workforce needs
- Prepare and maintain reports related to enrollment in workforce credit programs
- Research potential funding opportunities and support grant preparation related to workforce development initiatives
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership and management experience
- Experience overseeing workforce training, continuing education, or similar programs
- Strong relationship-building skills with business, industry, and public-sector stakeholders
- Ability to prepare clear reports and support grant research and development
