About the Role
The Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking an Administrative Program Specialist A to support statutorily mandated and agency-established programs across Louisiana’s 64 parishes. In this role, you’ll provide administrative and programmatic services that help ensure the delivery of legal services to indigent individuals.
Responsibilities
- Manage payroll administration and related documentation
- Support purchasing and procurement activities
- Oversee fleet, property, and related administrative processes
- Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain accurate records
- Handle general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Maintain a current safe driver certification at all times
- Complete required training in LaGov and other certification programs tied to job duties
Requirements
- Ability to maintain safe driver certification continuously
- Willingness and ability to complete mandatory training in LaGov and other required programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative and program support
