About the Role

The Office of the State Public Defender (OSPD) is seeking an Administrative Program Specialist A to support statutorily mandated and agency-established programs across Louisiana’s 64 parishes. In this role, you’ll provide administrative and programmatic services that help ensure the delivery of legal services to indigent individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage payroll administration and related documentation
  • Support purchasing and procurement activities
  • Oversee fleet, property, and related administrative processes
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and maintain accurate records
  • Handle general office administration to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Maintain a current safe driver certification at all times
  • Complete required training in LaGov and other certification programs tied to job duties

Requirements

  • Ability to maintain safe driver certification continuously
  • Willingness and ability to complete mandatory training in LaGov and other required programs
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for administrative and program support
