About the Role
Rocketship Public Schools is seeking an Assistant Principal of Innovation to help launch and lead our Innovation School, opening in Fall 2026. This role is a founding member of the school’s team and will help shape a lab-school model designed to expand student possibilities and strengthen learning experiences for underserved communities.
Responsibilities
- Support the launch and ongoing operations of the Innovation School as part of a founding leadership team
- Help develop and implement innovative instructional practices aligned to student needs and school goals
- Collaborate with educators, leaders, and families to build strong school partnerships
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and growth
- Assist with schoolwide systems that support student achievement and effective teaching
Requirements
- Experience in school leadership and/or instructional leadership
- Commitment to equity-focused education and serving underserved communities
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff and families
- Ability to help build programs and systems in a new school environment
- Demonstrated dedication to student growth and high expectations
