About the Role
JerseySTEM is a mission-driven nonprofit network connecting pro-bono professionals to expand access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.
Note: This is a pro-bono (unpaid) role. Membership requires a minimum six-month commitment with approximately six flexible hours per week. A $100 refundable deposit is required and is returned after six months of active membership (K–12 educators, retirees, veterans, interns, and students are exempt).
Responsibilities
- Draft and refine corporate-style written materials that support JerseySTEM’s mission and initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team to align messaging with program goals and gender-equity priorities.
- Help create clear, engaging content suitable for stakeholders and community partners.
Requirements
- Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate professionally and clearly.
- Comfort working with mission-oriented organizations and collaborating with a team.
- Availability for approximately six flexible hours per week for at least six months.
