About the Role
As an Attractions Instructor, you’ll deliver high-quality guest experiences while keeping safety at the center of every tour, attraction, and activity. You’ll lead group instruction, support emergency readiness across land, water, and height environments, and help guests feel confident as they try new experiences.
Responsibilities
- Teach and coach guests on activity techniques, safety procedures, equipment use, boundaries, routes, and emergency protocols
- Lead, instruct, guide, and supervise guests during attractions, tours, and experiences in a safe and responsible manner
- Provide clear pre-activity briefings so guests understand expectations and can participate successfully
- Offer expert guidance on equipment fit and correct usage
- Manage large groups with varying abilities, ages, and backgrounds while modeling a safety-first culture
- Respond calmly and effectively to emergencies (on land, in water, or at height), including rescue support when required
- Listen to guest concerns and resolve issues quickly to protect guest satisfaction
- Use radio communication professionally during operations
- Inspect work areas and report structural and/or operational issues to management
- Maintain equipment readiness through cleaning, safety checks, and routine maintenance logs
- Train new team members on tour and instructing procedures
- Support additional aquatic activities as needed and participate in the lifeguard program
- Maintain certifications and fitness standards required for safe operation and audit-ready performance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent vocational training; ability to perform basic math
- Two (2) years of experience in a similar guiding or teaching role
- Strong swimming ability and willingness to pass a company swim test
- CPR/First Aid proficiency (company-designated certification required)
- Experience or qualifications in rescue and lifeguarding (rope rescue experience is a plus)
- Ability to obtain NFPA Rope Rescue certification
- Proven group supervision skills, including managing headcount on tours
- Customer service mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse international environment
- Ability to drive boats or willingness to learn to support rescue operations
