About the Role
BillionToOne is looking for an Automation Service Engineering Manager to help advance oncology-focused diagnostics. In this role, you’ll lead automation service engineering efforts that improve reliability, scalability, and customer impact across our platform—supporting our mission to make life-changing diagnostics accessible to all.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of automation service engineers to deliver dependable automated workflows
- Oversee automation service operations, ensuring high availability and consistent performance
- Partner with engineering, operations, and cross-functional stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and implement durable fixes
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for automation reliability, documentation, and service processes
- Support onboarding and enablement for internal teams and customers as automation systems are deployed
- Contribute to planning and prioritization for automation service enhancements and roadmap execution
Requirements
- Experience leading engineering or technical service teams in automation, systems engineering, or related fields
- Strong understanding of automation platforms, reliability engineering, and troubleshooting methodologies
- Ability to translate technical requirements into operational plans and measurable outcomes
- Experience working in regulated or healthcare-adjacent environments is a plus
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset across functions
