About the Role
The Colorado Department of Education (CDE) is seeking a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLDE) Specialist. This is a non-classified role supporting Colorado’s K-12 school districts, schools, and educators with resources, leadership, and accountability to better meet the needs of diverse students.
Please note: the position is non-classified and applications are accepted from residents and non-residents of Colorado. The selected incumbent must live in and complete work for CDE within Colorado.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized support to advance culturally and linguistically diverse education initiatives across Colorado schools.
- Coordinate with internal teams and education stakeholders to strengthen capacity and support implementation.
- Use guidance and resources to help districts improve services for students and educators.
- Contribute to program planning, collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts.

- Demonstrated commitment to culturally and linguistically diverse education.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders in an education setting.
- Requirement to live in and complete work for CDE within the state of Colorado.
