About the Role
FWG Solutions is seeking a Coatings Technician to support the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program under the LCAC 100 Program. In this onsite role at our base location, you will prepare, inspect, support, and repair fiberglass and carbon materials to help ensure mission-ready performance.
Responsibilities
- Perform surface preparation for fiberglass and carbon materials in support of program requirements
- Inspect coated components and materials to identify defects or areas needing correction
- Support coating installation and repair activities for LCAC ACV equipment
- Assist with repair work to restore materials and coatings to required specifications
- Follow applicable procedures to maintain quality and workmanship standards
Requirements
- Experience working with fiberglass and/or carbon materials and coating processes
- Ability to perform detailed inspection and repair tasks with strong attention to quality
- Comfort working onsite in a production/support environment
