About the Role
Thea Energy is building a faster, simpler path to commercial fusion by rethinking the stellarator architecture. As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll help translate engineering intent into clear, reliable manufacturing processes for HTS magnet assembly.
Responsibilities
- Assist with creating and updating manufacturing documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and quality criteria for HTS magnet assembly
- Support design, prototyping, and commissioning of custom manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment
- Collaborate with magnet designers and manufacturing engineers to capture shop-floor learnings and improve future builds
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an engineering program (or recently completed coursework in manufacturing, mechanical, or related engineering)
- Comfort working with technical documentation and detail-oriented processes
- Strong teamwork skills and willingness to learn from hands-on manufacturing environments
