About the Role
We’re looking for a mission-driven Controller to lead the financial and accounting operations of a respected nonprofit organization in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, you’ll help ensure accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and reliable financial processes that support the organization’s mission.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities
- Maintain and strengthen internal controls to support accurate, complete financial records
- Coordinate and support annual audits, including preparation and audit follow-up
- Ensure timely, accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Partner with leadership to support forecasting and budget planning
Requirements
- Proven experience in accounting leadership, including financial reporting and compliance
- Strong knowledge of nonprofit accounting practices and internal controls
- Experience coordinating audits and working with external auditors
- Advanced attention to detail and strong organizational skills
