About the Role
We’re seeking a Critical Operations Technician I to support the reliable operation of critical building and data center systems. In this onsite role, you’ll install, repair, and maintain IT, electrical, mechanical, plumbing/piping, and control equipment across both interior and exterior building areas.
Responsibilities
- Perform installation, repair, and routine maintenance for building and data center equipment and controls
- Monitor operations and conduct ongoing assessments of system performance
- Complete tests, rounds, and data analysis to confirm departmental equipment is functioning properly
- Support customers on the data center floor in person and by phone, including equipment installs
- Manage and update tickets in the ticketing system
- Communicate, escalate, and document alerts and customer requests to systems engineers for resolution
- Assist with tasks related to computer hardware, software, and operating systems
- Work onsite to support a 24/7/365 data center environment
Requirements
- Ability to work onsite and support operations across 24/7/365 coverage
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining technical equipment and systems
- Strong attention to detail when monitoring performance and analyzing operational data
- Comfort interacting with customers and coordinating ticket-based workflows
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and operating systems
